A Literary Agent

Studio B and the Salkind Literary Agency are looking for highly motivated individuals with editorial and publishing experience who are interested in working with authors to help them develop their writing careers.

We are currently hiring individuals on a freelance basis who are interested in working on the agency side of the publishing industry. As a literary agent, you would identify and manage top authors, assist with generating project ideas, review manuscript proposals, and focus on selling books and content to publishers, websites, and corporations.

The right candidates will have a passion for working with books and content and will be able to demonstrate their ability to discover and develop new talent, focus on selling high quality content, and be effective communicators.

Since this is freelance work our literary agents set their own work hours and schedules, manage their own authors and projects, and are paid on a commission basis. Literary agents have access to a great support staff to help with administrative details.
Familiarity with the publishing industry is essential.

About our Company:

Studio B and the Salkind Literary Agency work with general non-fiction trade and textbook authors. The staff have extensive experience running imprints for major trade and textbook publishers, and Mr. Salkind has personally written over 100 books including the best-selling Statistics for People Who (Think They) Hate Statistics.

Check us out at www.studiob.com and www.salkindagency.com.

To apply, please send a cover letter and resume to jobs@studiob.com.
